All Life's a stage

This is what I wore during the day on Friday! I am so behind in emails, posts etc.. cause life is going at 110 miles and I am trying to keep up being sick and all....

The inspiration was from this tiny photo in an older magazine:
I have always liked the hot pink and red combination and this was cool with the light tan jacket...

These red flared pants are ridiculous old! And they are machine washable!

Blazer Jacket - part of an Ann Taylor suit
Blouse - Express
Pants - Forever 21
Wedges - Victoria's Secret
Necklace - Givenchy

FRIDAY:
Had the kids' preschool today. Followed by as quick as can be costco shopping. I must have burned enough calories equivalent of doing an hour exercise. Between trying to shop for 3 parties plus 2 dinner parties that will take place at our house this coming week and dealing with the kids and their desire to try every food sample and look at every book and forgetting an item and pushing to super heavy cart all the way to the back of the store... followed by loading the car and unloading it at home and putting it all away. You are exhausted at the end!
I hosted my first 'Kika Paprika' party to a small group of mommy friends at night.
It was so much fun preparing all the clothes and my marketing materials and brochures. It was a late starting party designed for mommies to come after the kids go to bed. My sister and fiance came over to help with the kids so I can do my last preperations.
I mad the mistake of waiting too long though for couple other people to come and started a bit too late so the party did not end until past midnight! Then I had to clean-up. Tired by happy.

I asked my husband to sneak in during the party to snap some photos which he did!

I am still awaiting items that I ordered for myself in my size. So wore this super cute top but it is 2 sizes too big. I ended up having to take it off anyway for my friends to try it on...

Tomorrow (Sunday's) party is going to be 8 people so this was a great warm-up party with 3!

Some Day You'll Ask for My Autograph

This just so simple outfit looked amazingly cool with the touch of the red hat!
The inspiration was from this Chictopia post:
I just loved how simple but cool this combination was...

And look what a difference that red hat makes. This morning when I went to the park I forgot to wear the red hat. When I asked my friend to start taking photos I remembered the hat was missing. That one hat adds all the coolness!

Denim Shirt - from Turkey

TODAY:
Was dragging today still feeling totally sick but knew I had to take the kids somewhere. So we loaded up our scooters and helmets and met my friend and her boys in a park with a huge loop for riding scooters somewhat between our homes. Then took them to an early lunch together. After naps my parents came over to take the kids while I went to my dentist appointment. Then was pleasantly surprised when I got home to find a package from my company that contained more clothes for my sample line. Then attended an hour long work call. My parents were nice enough to stay to babysit while my husband sneaked in a quick dinner date!

These photos are from yesterday when our friends visited from Texas:

Rusting Away

Today's outfit was inspired by this face photo I am thinking last fall....I didn't write the magazine name or the date!
I kind of picked from this plaid shirt topped with a rust colored sweater over a white/cream skirt and the broch.

Sweater - H&M
Plaid Shirt - Forever 21
White Dress - From Turkey
Boots - Via Spaga

TODAY:
Had out of town friends visiting today. The husbands went out sailing and we entertained the kids. Since she has 3 and the youngest is still a baby we took it easy and went to the indoor play area and spent the afternoon at home and had dinner when the hubbies got back.
I am totally feeling sick but have no time to actually do anything about it, so taking cold medication and ignoring it.

on and on and on

This simple combo was a JCrew catalog inspiration from the issue that came out around September of 2011.
I like the idea of slacks with a bright color and a fedora... I would have gone with my animal print ballet flats under this but the weather was too cold so wore boots instead...

This was the set my husband got 'from the kids' for my b-day last year....And the silver charm bracelet is also his gift on mother's day. The two discs have my kids names and birhtdates engraved.

Sweater, Blouse - Forever 21
Slacks - Express
Hat - Thread show
Boots - Madden Girl (TJ Maxx)
Accessories - Fossil and gift

This is really my Tuesday outfit but since I post so late at night I am going to use it towards participating in

TODAY:
My friend had a elementary school open house tour to attend to and no one to babysit her kids so I volunteered she brings them to my house for me to take them all to our outdoor class until she gets out of her tour. The plan worked but it sucked that the weather was drizzly and super cold.
The kids behaved great. I had her youngest one (1.5) attached to my hip to make sure he was safe and let the other 3 play with friends.
It got so cold that I think I am catching a cold now from sitting there freezing. We left early to go to Target for lunch and shopping for kids' valentine cards for their classes. Last year I waited too long to buy these and every store was out of them. It was nice to go when there was so much too choose from.
Had a business mixer to go to but was feeling too sick to go so stayed home instead. Plus had a webinar to watch/listen for work.

Here is a cute photo when I had 4 kids in my car:
