Never Say Bake

 What I wore Thursday….

Coat - J Crew
Top - Zara
Pants - Rock Republic
Booties - Aldo

THURSDAY:
Busy days of trying to get last minute things done before the kids are out of school and our backyard is in full construction and kids have ton of school celebrations.
In the afternoon met up with my sister and went to my daughter's classroom for their winter sing presentation. It was just the most adorable thing. Because, my daughter sings like she is on stage solo performing even though she is with her whole class and standing in second row in a corner. You have to see her facial expressions as she totally reflects the emotions of the lyrics and dances out to the songs. It is just a pleasure to watch.

This is part of their 'Snowman' poem:
"how to talk to your snoman" which ends with 'never say BAKE!"….

I Might Read Till I Fell Better

Thursday's outfit was inspired by this December 2015 issue of In Style Magazine:
Mustard sweater, flared jeans and cognac boots… :)

Jacket - Andrew Marc
Sweater - Anthropologie
Jeans - Ann Taylor LOFT
Boots - Via Spiga

WEDNESDAY:
Went to my son's class poetry presentation and holiday breakfast celebration in school early in the morning.
They used thesaurus to reflect all sorts of adjectives that depicted feelings of holidays and winter.
And the teacher lets them run the whole show all by themselves and it is amazing how great they do.
The breakfast was delicious as well.
Afterwards I ran more errands in and out of the house before my daughter got out of school early and then we both went back to take over the Wednesday boys playdate on campus. Every wednesday a group of my sons' friends get together for an hour or so to play at school while one of the mom's stay to supervise. We take turns so it is a great way for them to get together.
AFter which we brought of the friends to our house for them to have a playdate there while I continued to get things done as I hosted my book club at night at our house.
And I am crazy I know but came up with this book club ornament idea for all of us to create together.
Saw it on Etsy selling for $45 a piece and figured a group of mom's are just crafty enough to take it on.
They came out just adorable and now we'll remember 19+ books we read together….

TUESDAY NIGHT:
Our Annual 'Girls Holiday Dinner'… A tradition we started years ago, instead of buying gifts for each other every Birthday and Holiday we get together instead at a nice restaurant and celebrate our friendship over drinks and good food.
We book it mid November as we al have crazy schedule. Some travel all the time and some of us have kids so we usually pick a week night and book it on our calendar and one of us makes reservations and we are all set.
This was a place we have not been before. At first the giant venue was quite cold and empty and of course given their them "Blush Ice Bar' the drinks all were a bit slushy and cold. But we lucked out and it was Industry Night and they let us use the 50% off food deal and after a few drinks we were warm and cozy! :)

Shop Till You Drop

My outfit Tuesday (day) as I went for Christmas shopping for the last few people on the list…

Inspired by this:

Scarf - Hand made
Sweater - Forever 21
Skirt - Zara
Boots - Shoedazzle
TUESDAY SHOPPING:
Started with TJ Maxx right after dropping off the kids at school. Got a lot of it done but when I came home I realized I forgot one person so have to go back. After TJ Maxx met my sister at the mall. Had lunch first then it was quite productive as we occasionally split up for our returns/exchanges and finished the final gifts on my list there then went direct to school to pick up the kids and took my son to basketball practice. Love that we have a carpooling net work in place so I could just drop him off then stopped at Vons to purchase dinner and also fruit for the next morning's school pot luck and came home to change and feed my daughter and left as soon as my husband arrived to meet the girls for our Holiday Dinner….

Haute Nights

What I wore Saturday night to my husband's Company Holiday Party….

My husband tells me the night before that the party has a Lion King/Safari theme. It was too late to change what I planned to wear. But my sister had forgotten her animal print coat at my house so added that on top and my huge leopard ring for touches of the theme…

Dress, Necklace, Earrings - H&M
Coat - Ann Taylor LOFT
Heels - Shoedazzle
Purse - Forever 21

THE PARTY:
Was at the Natural History Museum and the entertainment was magical. They even had a face painter so my hubby and I went all out…
